This ancient port has numerous attractions, including its sandy beach and the port of Rig-e Asal. One of the places where you can spend enjoyable hours is Helleh Lagoon. This lagoon hosts thousands of migratory birds annually, flying from cold regions to this destination. If you’re in Bandar Ganaveh at the right time, you might have the chance to see these beautiful birds.
Leaving the southern coasts behind, head north and towards the central parts of the country. Welcome to Fars Province. The southern regions of Fars aren’t too far from Bandar Ganaveh. Our next destination is the beautiful city of Shiraz, which is approximately 323 kilometers away. On the way, you’ll pass through cities like Borazjan and Kazeroon, eventually reaching Shiraz.

But before that, explore a few more provinces. Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province is located within the Zagros mountain range, and the highest peak in Iran, Mount Dena, is situated in this province. As we move south, the air becomes warmer, and heading north introduces cooler, mountainous terrain.
While Yasuj may not boast an abundance of attractions, if you have to choose one, it undoubtedly has to be the Tamaradi Strait. This strait holds both historical and natural significance, as it has been the site of numerous battles throughout history, leaving visible traces. Moreover, there are beautiful springs and waterfalls scattered throughout the strait, making it an ideal spot for a memorable picnic.

Having covered three main directions in Iran, only the west remains. However, western Iran is so rich in sights, both historical and natural, that describing them would require several books. Ilam Province
The journey from Yasuj to Ilam is quite lengthy, covering approximately 818 kilometers, which takes around eleven and a half hours. However, don’t worry, as this route passes through some of the most beautiful and fertile plains of Iran, and the scenic beauty along the way won’t allow you to feel tired or bored. On this route, you’ll pass through cities like Behbahan, Ramhormoz, Shush, and Dezful. Parts of Khuzestan’s plain, with its unique beauty, will accompany your journey. You’ll drive on a road where, for kilometers, nothing is visible except green farms and fruitful trees.
Ilam: The Bride of Zagros
Ilam is renowned as the “Bride of Zagros.” The city has a moderate and mountainous climate, and its natural landscapes are truly breathtaking. If you spend a day in Ilam and want to see one of its attractions, make sure to visit the Arg-e Tamaradi Strait in Ordibehesht. Paveh
Paveh is one of the western cities of the province, situated 112 kilometers from Kermanshah. The road leading to it is surrounded by wheat and barley fields and mountains stretching towards the sky. Nestled in the foothills of one of these mountains is the largest water cave in Asia and the longest cave in Iran.
The pristine nature in Iran Ghar is the Gouri Ghaleh Castle, one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the entire province. Much of this cave is open for public visits. Kermanshah City

En route from Mariwan to Urmia, you’ll encounter the cities of Saqqez and Bukan, both offering delightful stopovers. Especially Saqqez, where you can find various colorful fabrics and intricately woven Kurdish garments as souvenirs.
