Iran is a country with four seasons. Regardless of the season, you can easily find destinations for travel in Iran. Even if the weather conditions are not suitable for travel in a particular season, you can still find a cozy corner in this land with pleasant weather. For example, during the hot summer season in Iran, you can still choose places that are cool and enjoyable.

Summer, with its extended leisure time, provides an excellent opportunity to explore the cool regions of the country. Places that may not be a priority for travel in other seasons become the focus of summer trips. The western and northwestern provinces of Iran all have cool and pleasant weather for summer travel. Perhaps it’s time to explore tourist destinations in the west instead of the northern cities for once.

“Gulf City Pedia” intends to introduce some cool and summer destinations that may not have been on your priority list so far. The truth is that we always have time for travel to the north in all seasons, but some areas only have suitable conditions to host us in these two or three summer months. So, seize the opportunity and embark on a journey.

1.Kurdistan:

What do you think about Kurdistan? Do you think it has a favorable climate and vegetation cover? Let us tell you that Kurdistan is historically rich and extraordinary in terms of nature and climate. It has lush forests and meadows, offering mostly cool weather, making summer the best time to travel.

While travelers often visit Sanandaj and other cities from mid-Ordibehesht to late Mehr, the best time to travel to this region is from mid-Khordad to mid-Shahrivar.

During this trip, you can visit historical sites such as the Asef Historical Mansion (Kurdish House), Moshir Divan Mansion, Khan Bath, Khesrowabad Mansion, Vakil Mansion, Sanandaj Bazaar, Jameh Mosque of Sanandaj, and other historical attractions in this province.

If you enjoy recreation and nature exploration, you can visit the mineral water springs in this province, such as Babagorgor Mineral Spring, Abidar Mountain in Sanandaj, Zerivar Lake in Marivan, Bilo Plain, Qomchian Recreational Area, and dozens of other natural attractions during this trip.

2.Kermanshah:

Another cool destination we recommend for summer travel is Kermanshah. Here, you can not only enjoy the cool and pleasant weather but also take pictures by the vast pool covered with blue water lilies, visit the beautiful and fascinating Kermanshah Flower Garden, see Taq Bostan and Bisotun, visit the Anahita Temple, explore historical sites like Biglarbegi Tekyeh and Moein Al-Molk Tekyeh, go boating in Heshilan Lake, sit by the Sarab Sahneh, and take a stroll through the Gouri Qaleh Cave. There are plenty of attractions waiting for you here.

Don’t doubt that a trip to Kermanshah is more exciting and thrilling than you might think. Although the tourist areas around here may not have been introduced to tourists as they should, you can take the initiative and witness the beauty of this region up close.

3.East Azerbaijan:

Tabriz is one of the oldest cities in Iran with a history dating back to the Achaemenid and Sassanian eras. For years, this ancient and historical city has been remembered as one of the tourist and travel destinations in Iran. This province has always been among the choices of summer travelers. Here, due to its numerous historical attractions, it attracts tourists not only in summer but also in the cold seasons.

When the scorching summer sun has exhausted everyone in other cities of Iran, Tabriz gives life with its moderate and cool weather. From mid-Shahrivar to late Esfand, the cold and icy period lasts; however, from mid-Farvardin, with the arrival of spring, the nature of this province revives. It can be said that spring and the first two months of summer are the best seasons for a trip to East Azerbaijan.

We have previously published many articles about tourist attractions in Tabriz that you can read on the “Guest Travel Magazine” website. Dezak Castle, Stone Inscriptions of Rakh, Jameh Mosque of Herchegan, Archaeological Museum, Kuhrang Scenic Area, Atashgah Waterfall, Tunnel Waterfall in Kuhrang, Darreh Eshq Waterfall, Sarab Cave, Pir Cave, Manj Cave, and Kharaji Cave are just some of the attractions in and around this area.

4.Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari:

The last cool summer destination we are introducing in this article is the picturesque region of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari. The central city, Shahrekord, is situated beneath the Zagros Mountains and welcomes you. If you are tired of the oppressive heat of Tehran in summer, take a day or two off and head to Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.

Due to its high altitude above sea level and unique vegetation cover, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari have a very different climate from other provinces in Iran. In this province, winter lasts for about five months until the end of Esfand, and summer and autumn are very short. From mid-Shahrivar to late Esfand, the cold and icy period lasts, but from mid-Farvardin, with the arrival of spring, this province comes back to life. It can be said that spring and the first two months of summer are the best time for a trip to Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.

We have published many articles about tourist attractions in Shahrekord that you can read on the “Guest Travel Magazine” website.
